Don Chicken: Experience Authentic Korean Fried Chicken in Encinitas

Amazing!! First impression when I came into Don Chicken the owner greeted me and was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide what to get. Decided on number 10 Fried Special Don Sauce Chciken and number 16 Bonless Cheese Bull Dak and a side of fries. Both items were really really good. I loved the number 10, fried Bonless chicken. The sauce was delicious, the chicken had not one fatty or hard piece. The breading wasn't too thick and there was alot of juicy chicken. Then the cheese chicken was also super tender and flavorful. It was spicy but the perfect amount that grew as you ate more. I like some spicy but not too hot and it was perfect for me. Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors for the fried chciken.

This place is legit. Great ratings are 100% valid. Here is why: I ordered 10. Fried chicken with special don sauce (wings) Chicken: The chicken was perfectly fried. Nice crunch, not too greasy, hot, juicy. Perfect - exactly how fried chicken should taste Sauce: The special don sauce was perfectly balanced in sweetness. Not too overwhelmingly sweet and heavy but perfectly balance with no spicy taste. Skip the soy garlic, that wasn’t that good. Absolutely perfect. I would order the same dish again. Definitely worth the visit.

Really good fried chicken. Doesn’t look special but is delicious. Light crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Wish I ordered more wings… probably one of my favorite in my travels.

Love the owner and staff. They make our experience and family memories here great times. These aren't tiny chicken pieces. You get your bucks worth here. And don't let the menu intimidate you (they're working on changing the menu up to be more clear and consice). Everything we tried was top-notch. The dad and son sitting next to us each got the chicken sandwich combo, and their sandwiches looked huge. At the end of the meal, I asked the dad how it went, and he said he was stuffed, and that's hard to do, cause he's a good eater. The oven baked chicken with the honey spicy sauce, hands down the winner. Treat yo self to this experience. The manager said there are 300 plus stores in Korea and lots in Vietnam and China. Can't wait to try other sauces from their selection.

Exceptional service and great food! Ordered their Special Don and Soy sauce flavored wings and they were both amazing. The chicken meat was juicy, and thin crust around it was nicely glazed and fried to perfection. Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving some authentic Korean fried chicken. Will definitely be back for more to try their other options!

This may be some of the best chicken in all of San Diego, it is so damn good. Came in with a buddy, we asked them to make the hottest tenders/legs/wings they possibly could and they did a great job, it was very spicy and so tender. The customer service was great. It's a family run restaurant and you get that warm feeling they really do care a lot about the food that goes out. I live in La Jolla but I'll definitely be coming here weekly!
